Dr. Andrea Bernardini is a board-certified Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist based in Florence, with a clinical practice built around two principles: preventive medicine and the management of heart rhythm disorders.
 

He serves as Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at Santa Maria Nuova Hospital, the oldest Hospital in the world still active, and as Consultant Cardiologist at Villa Donatello, Florence's leading private clinic. This dual role gives him direct access to both public and private diagnostic and therapeutic pathways, allowing him to coordinate care across the system with speed and precision.
 

He graduated with highest honors from the University of Bologna and completed his Cardiology specialization at the University of Florence. International fellowships in Switzerland and at the Cleveland Clinic (USA) further shaped his clinical perspective, exposing him to some of the most advanced cardiovascular programs in the world.
 

Over the years, Dr. Bernardini has developed a particular focus on international patients: expats, overseas residents and visitors who need a trusted medical point of reference in Italy. His approach combines proactive cardiovascular prevention, prompt clinical access, and end-to-end coordination,  the foundations on which Florence Premium Healthcare Services was built.
 

Dr. Bernardini holds a PhD in Cardiovascular Sciences and has authored over 30 international publications in leading peer-reviewed journals — a research commitment that ensures his clinical decisions remain grounded in current evidence.
